We picked up two more chicks yesterday. Our brood now includes two Buff Orpingtons (the yellow ones) and two Barred Plymouth Rocks (the blackish ones). All four look bigger today than they did yesterday, and the Orpington's wing feathers are noticeably more developed. Wow, they change fast!
The new chicks settled right in. This one was thirsty enough to head straight for the water upon arrival. She's a funny little girl - she opens her mouth when she swallows.
All four of the chicks were tuckered out early in the evening. They took a long nap and the rest of us enjoyed some richly deserved quiet!

They are so cute! Can you tell if they are all hens? I know nothing about chickens...should probably learn before I set up a chicken coop :)
